Company Background
Greengard, Inc. was founded in 1952 in Highland Park by Charles W. Greengard and was incorporated in 1964.
Under his direction, Greengard was one of the first engineering firms to venture out from the city and work directly with municipalities and private clients, with prior offices in Deerfield, Highland Park and Lincolnshire. Due to Greengard, Inc.’s growth and need for more space, the firm moved offices in 2004 to 111 Barclay Boulevard in Lincolnshire.
In 1980, Don Fielding became President of Greengard, Inc. and purchased the firm from Charles Greengard upon his retirement. In 2006, Don entered a partnership with Tony Catella and Steven Fielding and in 2021 Douglas White has become the newest partner of Greengard, Inc. Each new partner has been able to contribute their area of expertise to the company, helping Greengard, Inc. grow into the new millennium.
Through the years, Greengard, Inc. has represented many Lake County municipalities, but for the past 25 years has been geared primarily toward private residential, commercial, and industrial land development. Along the way, the firm has been deeply involved in the changing growth patterns of the suburban Chicago metropolitan area, and is well known to many suburban municipalities.
Greengard, Inc. has developed into a highly personalized, progressive organization, well-qualified to handle engineering projects of any size or scope.
